Dribble....

Fact: Hannah started basketball last week....
Fact: Hannah makes about 50% of the baskets she shoots....
Fact: Hannah does NOT do defense....
Fact: Hannah likes killers....
Fact: Hannah is one strange child for liking killers....just wait girl
Fact: I put mulitiple dots after sentences in every post....check, I dare you. Apparently it's my thang.

In a week and a half Hannah will play her very first bball game with her 5th grade team. Hannah stands about 5 feet from her teammates to block a play...(see...dots) I think she thinks she will hurt their feelings if she actually blocks their ball...(again) she doesn't want to be rude. That's what we are working on this weekend. Being rude....wish us luck!

Rockin' bands.

This day comes once a month for Hannah. It's her day to go to visit Mr. Orthodontia and get her wires tightened and cut. Update her bands to a newer, cooler color (usually to coordinate with something coming up soon in her life). Make sure she's brushing her teeth well and getting all the "sugar bugs", as Brooklyn calls them, off those pearly whites. Braces were a no brainer for Hannah. The first time she went to the dentist, before any of those little baby teeth had even fallen out yet, he showed us her x-ray....you could see all the "adult" teeth crammed up in her tiny mouth. Unfortunately Brooke will have the same problem... our paychecks might as well be deposited into Mr. Orthodontia's bank account. Thank God, Ryan and I both have good insurance, it only pays a percentage...but it's a help! Ryan knew there would be no question in us providing the girls with braces, he's dealt with this problem, and knew he didn't want the girls to. They both are actually excited about them...aunt Kaylee had them, so they think it's the "cool" thing to do. Curious what color Hannah picked?

"Cheese!"
It's orange in case you can't see my picture a la iPhone. Duh. It's almost Halloween...what other color would she pick? Besides black...and that's a little out of her "bright" personality.

Small things...

It's the small things sometimes that matter in your day! I've been in a rut lately. I know what I am doing is not what I want to do forever. What I'd really like to do is stay home, have a garden, do fun stuff all day....for some reason that just doesn't pay the bills. Bummer. I keep trying to talk Ryan into paying me stay home.... when the accountant in me crunches the numbers, I realize that won't pay the bills either...ugh. Oh well.
I applied and got accepted to U of M, I even got a little scholarship! Woo! This will be in addition to my work (cuz again...schooling doesn't pay the bills either! Boo!) I've been wanting to finish up my degree the past couple years...now I will be working towards two!
Back to the title....as most of my readers (all 3 of them, 1 being my stud man hubby) know said 'stud man hubby' is out of town all week for most of the year for work. It's been this way for years, since Brooke was a baby. We've been brainstorming ways to end this 'out of town' nonsense...but for now, it's how we pay our bills....and buy our toys. By this time in the year though, you better believe I'm getting burnt out! Burnt out of being alone and in charge of EVERYTHING! But it's these little things that get me through my day...

This is a pic Ryan sent me, just to say Hi!....

This one he was complaining about the John Deere peice of junk he has to run...he's a Caterpillar man through and through...

I love him, he's so darn cute. My hope is someday he can have a job doing this job (because he loves it, and how many people can say that!?) close to home so he can be with us every night! I love these pics because it gives me a view into his world. I don't get to see what he sees everyday, so it's fun to see what he's up to!
We've been trying to cram things into our weekends lately, we're trying to soak up all this wonderful fall weather! I'll be back to share some pictures of what we've been up to....I promise.

Are you real?

So lately everytime the TV is on Brooke asks "is this real?"

Like the news will be on....Brooke: is this real? Me: Yep, real life stuff. Brooke: Really real? Me: Totally real. Brooke: Ok

Or House hunters....Brooke" is this real? Me: Yep, they are really going to buy outrageously expensive "vacation homes" because apparently everyone can afford to buy 550,000 homes in Belize to vacation to twice a year.

Okay, maybe I didn't say that...maybe I did. Probably under my breath though.

As I flip through the TV tonight, after the house is picked up, clothes in the dryer, dishes in the dishwasher (thank GOODNESS for the dishwasher). I digress, as I am flipping through the TV guide deciding if I should watch mindless TV or just go to bed I think...no wonder why she's confused! All this reality tv vs "semi-reality" tv vs sitcoms....poor girl has no idea what is real or not!

Myself, I enjoy a little reality TV. (a little). But I think how much the tv channels have changed since I was younger. Who would have thought people would watch shows like: Basketball Wives, Swamp People, Ice Road Truckers....weird. We are weirdly entertained by these things aren't we?

So then I think....why couldn't I have thought of shows like these!? I mean, I'm not sure what that would be...and I'm about the least creative person ever....but come on! 18 Kids and Counting...I totally could  have had 18 kids....or not. Not anymore anyways!

Okay...so that's what was on my mind tonight.

On a good note we get to meet the girls teachers tomorrow. They are both very excited...which is good! Hannah had a NIGHTMARE teacher last year...so it's a huge relief to know that her teacher this year is nice, kid friendly, and organized! Don't even ask what happened last year. Brooklyn's teacher was wonderful last year...Brooke loved her and she understood Brooke's quirky little ways. I was worried her teacher this year wouldn't match up...but I have heard nothing but wonderful things about her, so that eases my mind!

This year I will have two full time students! What happened to my babies?

Maybe I can start a show about mom's who go crazy when their kids grow up...I'm almost there. Two years and Hannah will be in the "high school"....lock me up. Lock her up? Someones gonna be locked up!

Summers end girls day!

Yesterday I took a vacation day. It was great. Ryan, of course, is out of town and has to work today as well. (He's going on 70 hours this week so far!) So I decided I'd take the girls school clothes shopping while he was working (that way he wouldn't have to spend his one day off running around from store to store with a bunch of girls). See how nice I am?

So we got up, got ready, and headed out to Riverdale. Hannah spotted a Justice there last weekend and just knew that was where she wanted to go shopping. School clothes shopping gets a lot more difficult when you have two girls with their own individual styles.

We shopped til we dropped (around 3pm for lunch) and then headed to do our grocery shopping and get that done while we were out.

Then we came home and tried on all the clothes in outfits...according to order they will be worn. Please someone just slow the aging of my children down! They are just such little adults now!

Today I am supposed to be sanding the stairs. So far I've managed to bring the sander in. Baby steps. I'm hoping to get a few things off of our "to do" list so that Ryan and I can have next weekend completely free! Woo-hoo!

Don't Worry!

I didn't die in a tragic earthquake accident

Admit it...this is funny.

I live in Minnesota...they only way I'm gonna die here is by all the friendly mosquitoes!

I know all three of you who follow me are gonna be so relieved that I am blogging again.... I can't really give any excuses...obviously everyone is busy. I just haven't felt like anything was truely "blog-worthy". Therefore I spare you. Don't you see how much I love you? (all three of you).

Nothing too big happening in the Shaw home. Ryan's been working a tooshy-load of hours (usually 12-13 a day)....which means nice pay, tired Ryan. My job hasn't changed, except for I have less money now. My program was cut $35,000 for 2012....guess that means it's time to get creative!

The girls have been busy, busy, busy! They spend 2 days a week with my sister and 3 days a week a daycare. Hannah's at the age now where she thinks 10 is waaaay too old for daycare....the funny thing is that when we were that age we were! Times have changed! They are all ready and EXTREMELY excited for school to start in a little over a week. They are rounding out the summer with a 5 day camping trip with Grandma (which means date nights for Ryan and I!)

I've been checking into finishing my degree....I'm leaning towards U of M Crookston...they have the program I want online, which will help big time with convenience! We'll see how far I get before I talk myself out of it...I seem good at that!

Well there's a quick-sy update.  See ya in another 2 months.

toot ~ toot~ SQUEEK!

Hannah has started band practice. She went up to the school and picked up her beautiful ($700) clarinet on Tuesday. Two of her good friends are also in the "woodwind" group. Lets just say she's finding her tune....

toot ~ toot ~ SQUEEK ~ toot ~ toot ~ SQUEEK. repeat....all day...all night.

Am I a bad parent if you try to think of things for her to do so she doesn't practice? I mean practice is for babies right? Oh, not a good thing to tell her? Well good....but I thought about it. After hours of jumping everytime there is that ear piercing SQUEEK!

Is there a quieter instrument? Please? Would you like her to come seranade you???  Please? Pretty please? Maybe I'll record it and send it in Christmas cards this year (yes Ryan, I WILL send out Christmas Cards this year....all the way, not just fill them out and forget about them....)

It makes me wonder what that band room full of woodwinds sounds like when they are in this stage.

Also, funny Brooke conversation:

Brooke trying to explain what a "nackin" is to the neighbor boy.

Brooke comes in shortly after....

Brooke: Dad, I need a nackin.

Ryan: Why?

Brooke: Because Joey doesn't know what a nackin is.

Ryan: Maybe that's because it's a NAPkin.

Brooke: (holding up napkin to neighbor boy)

Joey: I knooooow what that is.

Oh, the minds of two 6 year olds together....too entertaining.

Shutdown time!

So in 2 days Ryan and I will know if we are done working for awhile....I shouldn't have any excuse of not blogging then right? Or wrapping up our house projects?

It's bizarre that this shutdown would affect Ryan and my jobs as we do completely opposite things and Ryan doesn't even work for the state but the private sector!

In other news...Hannah and Brooklyn have both turned another year older....Why does this keep happening? I swear years are getting shorter!! Hannah is in a artsy mood and has been coloring up a storm lately.... Brooklyn is just Brooklyn....she's just a firecracker! She is a class clown just like her dad...she keeps me quite entertained! Here's a recent conversation Brooke and I had:

Brooklyn: {while watching Jurassic Park} Are dinosaurs dead?

Me: Yes they are.

B: Did they die when I was born?

Me: They have been dead for thousands and thousands of years....way before you were born.

B: Oh, so they died when you were born?

This kid is hilarious!

Hannah on the other hand asked me recently if "darnit" was a bad word and if she could say it. I had to giggle, but told her it was not a bad word...but not a polite word and she could probably think of a better word to use.

I tell ya...kids are never ending balls of excitement!

Speaking of excitement. I came home today after work to the girls sitting in the yard and the sprinkler running (no one in it of course). When I ask my sister how long it's been running, she begins to count the hours....no a good sign. Of course she's always lived in the country so water is a never ending "free" thing to her. To me...well let's just say I'm not looking forward to the water bill this month.

Rain...rain...go away!

So after all the predictions of the educated weather people...this morning started off with quite the little rumbling storm. Don't get me wrong! It heated up to a nice 90 degrees (did you know the computer does NOT have a degrees sign??) but was a tad humid for my liking...or the liking of my hair.

Luckily Ryan has been able to work and hasn't gotten rained out yet...and believe it or not, he actually got notified on Thursday that he was going to work Saturday, which is amazing in this job...normally they'll let them know Friday at around 3.... Oh, you have plans....too bad....Oh, you have family....too bad....Oh, you want to be able to make plans....that's just silly.

The rain has had some effects on our little lake though...it's actually quite pretty being so high, the last few years it's been so low, but now it's the highest I think I've ever noticed it!

Oooh ~ Aaah...come on...I know you're saying it!

"Road Under Water"

The lake is up to the big trees...it's kinda hard to see...

I know that Ryan's grandma and grandpa have witnessed it being much, much, much higher than this before! But it's still fun for us to watch!

Miley was having fun playing outside while I was shooting pics of the lake....couldn't resist snapping a few of her!

I'm so pretty...oh so pretty...

Yes, she is sitting on the step here. I made her sit pretty so I could get a pic of her by my hostas!

Weeeeee........
Let's quit looking at the lake and jump in already!
She usually is on a leash or in her kennel...so she enjoyed the freedom...although she has no clue that the road is a dangerous place for her (number one reason she's always on a leash or in her kennel when we are outside!)

We have a busy weekend ahead of us, and with Ryan working it tends to make it a bit more stressful, but we'll make it! We always do!

Erinn

Big encouragement!

So I'm all about having to keep myself motivated (when I am actually on track) for dieting or exercising....The saying that a diet is a certain percent diet, a certain percent exercise, but mainly your mind...that totally makes sense to me! (Sorry, I totally can't remember the actual percent...although, I doubt it was drawn on doctor proven facts...so I think you're okay). I am the first to talk myself into (or out of) something if I really want to. Or the first to tell myself that I can't....the other saying "we are our own worst critics" (apparently I'm all philosophical today...ps...I really don't know if philosophical is a word, or if it is the right word to use there BUT I never said I was an english pro)

I digress, I am definitely my own worst critic! I am the first to tell me self the things I can't do...or things my body can't handle! I think that's why running is so hard for me. Apparently my brain is smarter than my body and can manipulate my body into thinking it's too hard or I can't do it....Something I need to recognize and get over!

Well, I was getting off my dreaded treadmill last night and Brooklyn (my 5 year old) says, "Way to go mom...you are so good at exercising!" Holy Schmoly!! I was so proud of her at that moment! And I really needed to hear it too, so I'll take it where I can get it...even if it's from a 5 year old!

Did I pay her to say it you say? Nope! Didn't even bribe her with a fruit snack!

In other news....the state shutdown rumors keep looming! I try not to get wrapped up in it, because you NEVER know what will happen! But then yesterday I hear that according to our union contract this means that they will cash out all of our vacation and sick time. Great for one lump some of money that the government is going to tax the CRAP out of....but then I come back to 0 balance of sick and vacation time! I have been saving for what seems like forever!! I have over 500 hours of combined sick and vacation time!! This leads me to believe that if this shutdown happens I will NOT be voting for ANY incumbent members of congress! So easy for them to vote on cutting my funding...yet they sit there and get nothing done, and get paid for it! Psh!

Okay, if anything, it will be a nice (non-paid) vacation the beginning of July! We'll have to see what happens!

Pirates....aye!

I cannot believe that this weekend went sooo fast! How nice it was to have a 3 day weekend though....I totally needed it! We were able to get a couple things done on the house which felt great, despite the torrential downpours all weekend! We completely gutted, sheetrocked, painted, and put shelves and rods up in our closet, took care of the yard, and cleaned out the entry way and moved Miley and her new kennel in it. She loves it....she's got a ton of room now!

Best news is that Ryan and I only almost killed eachother one time...which is bound to happen when you have a 100 yr old crooked house and you are trying to sheetrock it without any prior sheetrocking experience! We quickly got over it and were laughing at ourselves in no time.... I have to say that Ryan is pretty amazing...he is willing to try just about any project himself which saves us a ton of money on all of our house work!

Ryan, the girls, and I were able to take a break and head out to the new Pirates movie....we splurged on the 3D tickets and were very impressed! It wasn't like a "pop out at you" 3D...but a very realistic 3D, many parts felt like we could reach out and touch whatever was on the screen because it was so real! We also enjoyed our 3D glasses!

Of course these are grainy pics from Ryan's phone in the dark....but nothing like goofy glasses! We may or may not have kept the glasses (just in case, you never know when you will need 3D glasses!).

Hopefully I get better at bloggin! I've been awful lately!! I don't know how I've gotten so busy...besides the fact that Ryan is out of town now full time, and it's exhausting to be a single momma again!

Here's to hoping we can get the house done and listed and sold so we can move to a place where Ryan can work NORMAL hours!! He LOVES what he does, so it doesn't make sense for him to change careers...just find somewhat normal hours, where he can be at home every night...that's the goal!

Off to do the treadmill and read for a bit before bed!

XOXO,
Erinn

Need runner's advice....STAT!!

Heehee...so official right? So yeah...I'm a huge blogging slacker... And now Ryan went back to work up north so my days are whizzing by!! Blogging has to fit in there somehow, I'm just not sure where yet!! I'm having a hard enough time keeping running in there!

So back to my title...I need advice from all you runner pro's...I have been running on my treadmill, but anything over 20 minutes and I'm dying!! I think I'd be better outside with a view?? I think it's just the thought of the stationary running on a belted DREADmill! I like the treadmill for being able to set my incline up high and speed walk and feel the burn, but I'm thinking of beginning my running outside to really put in some miles...whatcha think? Is it normal for some people to really hate running on their treadmill? I really want to like running...so I'm hoping it's not that I just hate running! (Plus Ryan would totally kill me if I flaked out on something else, and our treadmill won't fit in our closet of "has beens") I also think my form would be better running outside, I feel like my form is horrible running on the treadmill...I feel stiff and compacted, which then gives me backaches and legaches...

Oh, what to do, what to do??? Where's my magic 8 ball?

Confession

Hello, my name is Erinn and I am a procrastinator. I also have horrible time management skills, horrible grammar, and perhaps a little OCD mixed with ADD....

I look at my blog everyday and think of blogging...then I get side tracked, or put it off until later and later turns into tomorrow, or I plain-old just don't have time! Is there a class for said problems listed above? Maybe a little weekly workshop?

No.

Okay. I'll work on that then.

I have managed to keep up on my running. I haven't missed a day. I'm on week 6. I ran 20 minutes straight yesterday and just about keeled over. I know, I know...I read about all the peeps that run 20 miles...blah, blah! I only hope to be like that someday, but I could barely run 1 minute before...so 20 is HUGE! Ryan has even joined the running train now. We are officially jr runners. Someday we will run miles together.

So back to the noted "diseases" listed in the first paragraph. Do you ever have so much to do but are so frustrated by the fact that you can't make it just perfect therefore you don't want to do it? That's how I feel with projects I want to complete around the house lately. I look at all these cute ideas around the "blog-land" for organizational projects or cutsie projects...however I get to the point that if I can't do it "just so" so then I don't want to start. Or I'll start it and get annoyed with the way it's turning out so I therefore cannot finish it. Do you think there's a magic pill for perfectionism problems? Just kidding, no pills...drink perhaps?

Okay, just writing that paragraph out gave me a bit of anxiety. I think I need to get over it though...because there's a ton of cute things I want to do out there! For now...off to bed. I so sleepy!

XOXO,

Erinn

Okay. I'm off to bed now.

Fam, Egg Dyeing and Food!

I took off a bit early from work yesterday and we went to visit Ryan's grandma and grandpa over near Hinckley. The girls have been asking to go visit them and we've been trying to find a good time and yesterday seemed to work...

It was a bit drizzly, but we had a wonderful time visiting. We talked about what we've been doing, and our possible future plans. It was so nice to see them and chat... it's always good to have time alone to visit with family. The girls even got to drive grandpa's tractor! Well, actually Brooke ran along side with grandpa...but they enjoyed themselves!

"wait for meeee!!!"
We enjoyed a nice dinner and some wonderful cake and didn't end up leaving until after 8! It was so nice!

This morning, (after I slept in), we had a list of things to cross off of our list...one of which was egg dyeing...the girls have been eyeing up the package all week! We tossed some eggs in to boil (I cracked one, which meant I had to take another one out so that there would be an even number....those who have kids understand...no child can have more eggs than the other!!), and whipped up the colored mixture...

Naked Eggs...

The girls were super-duper excited waiting for the eggs to boil...they could hardly wait!

Yaaaah!

Whoop-whoop!
Someone else was just as excited...

Smiley-Miley!
Fill-em up!

Who's excited?
Purdy!

Takes concentration!
She's a pro now!
"oooh ~ aaah"

Please ignore that ugly shadow in the pic above with my elementary photo taking skills. I know I stink at pics...I keep saying I need to practice more...but I happen to be the best procrastinator in the world! So maybe tomorrow!

pretty in pink

After egg dyeing and grocery shopping we were hungry! Ryan has been on the search for a "loco-moco" recipe. Loco Moco was something he had while we were in Hawaii. We had bought the ingredients while grocery shopping awhile ago. Loco Moco is a common Hawaiian meal, the first time I heard what it was it didn't sound the least bit appealing to me. But I did have a couple bites of Ryan's and it was pretty good! Definitely not something you would eat on a regular basis though...it's a pretty rich meal!

For our Loco Moco recreation we layered homemade fried rice mixed with brown rice, topped it with a fried egg, and hamburger patty, and drizzled homemade brown gravy over the top. The gravy was a mixture of beef broth, flour, and Worcestershire. It was pretty fabulous! I think I might have to up my running tomorrow now! :) Especially since we ended the meal with a brownie (shhh...don't judge!).

Tomorrow we are having my dad and brothers for lunch...should be a yummy meal...I have a few different recipes I'm trying....stuffed mushrooms, string beans, twice baked taters...mmmmm! Off to stuff some Easter baskets for some anxious girls!

Nighty-night!

Erinn

3 Minutes!

So my alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m. EVERY morning I am tempted to ignore it and go back to bed for the extra 30 - 45 minutes and skip running. I mean...maybe I can run after work, get a few more minutes of beauty sleep (believe me...I need every minute I can get!). EVERY morning Ryan kicks me while I say "uh-huh" at least 5 times....then I roll out of bed. Knowing once I get going everything will be good. And it usually is!

I started week 3 of the C25K program. Which means I upped my time to 90 seconds of running, 90 seconds of walking, 3 minutes of running, 3 minutes of walking, 90 seconds of running, 90 seconds of walking, 3 minutes of running, and 3 minutes of walking (started and ended with a warmup/cooldown). 3 MINUTES! I mean, to all you pro runners it may not sound like much....but holy macaroni....it gives me hope in knowing that I can up my endurance....I would have never been able to last 3 minutes straight in the beginning. It makes me a little giddy.

That's my update of today...I promise to get some pics and more updates on here soon! We are working hard and getting a few things done around the house to get it "listable".

Happy Monday!

Erinn

Spring has sprung!

After being able to walk the last couple weeks with Ryan, the girls, and Miley...I've decided I hate winter! Why do I continue to torture myself with disgusting weather while dreaming of sandals and sun? I don't really have an answer to that question.....

We've been trying to get out as much as possible...which of course is hard when you have to squeeze work in there too (gross!). Ryan and I walk with Miley and the girls are finally able to ride their bikes now that the snows melted off of the sidewalks. It's wonderful! Soon Ryan will be back to work and our whole routine will be tossed around again, so we are taking it all in while we can!

Lots of yard work and spring cleaning to finish up...but it'll feel good to get it all done. (Ryan, you better get going on that...remember...you'll be back to work soon...chop,chop)

Oh...little update...I started the C25K program. I just finished day 3. Soon I'll be running miles (okay, maybe not). I almost died on day 1, seriously thought I was going to die.....fall over dead. I didn't, good thing. The training plan has me running 3 days per week. I upped it. Call me crazy. I will be following the plan 5 to 6 days per week. So far so good. (check back with me next week, my mind may have changed).

So there's just a little blurb on what we've been up to. We hope to start painting some walls in the dining/living room this week! Add a new little touch to our house...we hope to wrap up some updates with the house this summer and get our house listed....could be scarey...maybe it isn't even worth anything! But if that's the case I guess it means we stay here!

Okay...off to bed!

XOXO,

Erinn

Our week in Arizona recap...part 1

Back to our trip to Arizona...The week before we got there apparently was high 80's all week. The first day we were there I think hit 80...but was very cloudy. Then it dropped to the 60's (yes we found ourselves in our sweatshirts, apparently we are not "tough" minnesotans), the last couple days it was in the lower to mid 70's....either way we got to miss the last big blizzard of the season back home!

The first day we spend at Luke Air Force Base, they had their bi-annual free air show. Ryan and his dad are both huge plane and jet fan's so this was right up their ally. Plus they had the Thunderbirds, which are the Air Forces demo team, which Ryan wanted to see...we've watched the Blue Angel's before (the Navy's demo team). Plus they had some other military planes that Ryan hadn't been able to see before...we got up, got ready, and headed up to the base...got our bags searched and walked thru metal detectors.

We set up our chairs and walked around a bit before the show began.

Thunderbirds lineup

Guess what I found....the only animal on the grounds!

Notice all those missiles around this one! Yikes!

Then we headed back to catch the show...the shows always seem to start with a sky diver. This time it was actually an Army sky diving team.

Those 3 little things separating on the bottom are skydivers.

Little Army Man

Look! He's smiling right at me!

Getting ready to drop a bomb...

BOOM!

The Thunderbirds "prep" crew!

The Thunderbirds wrapped up the show...then we ventured out to look at some more planed before they kicked us out...

Mega-Wings....

Beast...

Hannah smiling...Brooke, uh, signature look.

I was as red as a lobster by the end of a day...In fact when we were leaving one of the guys said to me, "you look as red as I feel!"...haha! I said..."Hey, I'm from Minnesota" which really means...my skin hasn't seen the sun in a looong time! He said he had no excuse...

We slept good that night!

The rest of the week we spend just exploring random places around Pheonix. It was beautiful...so beautiful that it might be the place for us eventually...that is, if God has it in His plans! I sure hope so!

We found our cactus!
Old Indian petroglyphs (rock writing)

Don't worry though...the snakes know not to go past this sign!

The big White Tank waterfall trickle...

Ryan would make it  his goal to catch one (or two) of these all week!
Okay...enough for the night....one more day of pics and I should be completely caught up on our trip! Oh, and about the lizards...we did end up with 2. Their names are Bob and Pablo-Tree, they have already shed one layer of skin...the cat's LOVE them, in a "I want to eat you" kind of way. They are kind of fun to watch, they have little personalities, the bad part is they are both boys so we have to keep them separated or apparently they fight. So we have them in their separate tanks...pretty much all they do is sunbathe. And puff their chest at kitties...

So tomorrow I will wrap up our Arizona recap...but now I'm going to bed!

XOXO,

Erinn
